ELBOW LANE DAY CAMP
       FRIDAY FLYER - FINAL EDITION 2007

This week was dominated by absolutely GREAT camp weather!!!  The Golf  and Skin & Scuba “Specials” ran this week.  Golfers practiced at camp, then traveled to Spring Mill Country Club, and  played a round of  Par 3 golf…………….  The special Friday event today was “Boardwalk Blowout, featuring two Moonbounces, a Caterpiller, Sports Blast, Money Machine, Water Slide, snow cones and Bubbles!  A special thanks to our own DJ Steve for providing the music for our day.  (Check for week 8 pics on the website.)

Today is the last day of camp!  The 2007 camp season has been one of the BEST EVER at Elbow Lane Day Camp.  We have lots of tired, but happy campers out there......Yep, the eighth week was just as busy and exciting as the first!  I know I speak for Doug (program director), Skip, Terri, Martha, and Ellen  (head counselors), Kristin (office), Jodi (transportation), Michelle (nurse), the Specialists, Counselors and Jr. Counselors, when I say that Elbow Lane has the BEST CAMPERS of any camp.  I have been making that statement for many years now, but in 2007 (our 39th summer), that statement rings true more than ever.  I have been extremely proud of our campers’ enthusiasm at all activities, but most importantly of their efforts to get along, become a team, and be accepting and kind to others---folks, this is what Elbow Lane is all about!  Thank you for making our jobs and our summer very pleasurable.  We look forward to seeing you next summer in our 40^th Anniversary Season.

MUSIC VIDEO DVDs will be sent home in late-October.  Again this year, we are adding a selection of  “still” photos and videos that were taken during the year, and the editing process will take some time.  We will be mailing out copies to all of those campers enrolled for week #6.

LATE THIS FALL, ALSO KEEP ON THE LOOKOUT for the Holiday Edition of the  Elbow Lane Reporter.  It will contain camp news and a bunk article.  Also, we will be updating the Photo Album on the website once a month, so continue to check our site throughout the year to view more pictures (the ones campers and staff took during Camera Weeks) from the summer.  The first set of these pics will be up on October 1st.  

REMINDERS  (yes, we even have “reminders” on the last day of camp)--The office has been overwhelmed with enrollments for the 2008 camp season.  Thanks for your enthusiastic response to our Early Enrollment offer.  Your loyalty and support are greatly appreciated.  Spread the word and bring a friend next year - but make certain they contact us soon as we will begin accepting enrollments for non-Elbow Laners next week and we want to reserve spots for your friends.  (Forget to send your form?  Put it in the mail TODAY!  You can print the Early Season Application from the website.) 

TO THE PARENTS, CAMPERS AND STAFF OF ELBOW LANE DAY CAMP 2007, THANK  YOU FOR A GREAT SEASON.  HOPE TO SEE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU BACK AT ELBOW LANE NEXT SUMMER!!!  BEST WISHES FOR A HEALTHY, SAFE AND PRODUCTIVE SCHOOL YEAR.
